I downloaded Gemini. Think she’s fantastic. Got the pro version. Decided to download other Google app that I didn’t YouTube Music sounds a lot more better than apples Dolby Atmos already have now my iPhone 17 Max pro is a hybrid phone.
Basically once I open the app is stock signed out and it is not working on iOS 26
iOS 26.5 on my 16 pmx with this most recent update has broke Apple car play. As a workaround you have to play a song manually via your phone, then the car play part of the app kind of sorts its self out. Please fix this asap.
Add downloads to Apple Watch app as it’s awful as just a remote. Spotify manages and so should you
I'm having an issue with the YouTube Music app on my iPhone. Every time I try to open it, the app freezes on the splash screen (the logo) and won't load further. I’ve already tried restarting my phone and reinstalling the app, but nothing works. Any advice?"
if google actually cared to compete with the competition… the catalogue and algorithm for finding new music is second to none. as someone who is always listening to new music, constantly discovering new music, new genres etc… i couldn’t fault it… but as a modern music streaming service it lacks so many crucial features… and i don’t know where else to ask feature requests. because im not the only one… scrobbling would be great! the third party ytm app i have on linux will scrobble to musicbrainz+lastfm… but if i want to do it from my phone? i have to do a google takeout every n months, and put it into a python script that will do it… the takeout only has a history of a couple of months itself. (or only a certain length that varies on usage history, which btw is shared with actual youtube) so you cant miss a time period proper desktop app support for windows and linux. at this point i cant really speak for windows but definitely even just a flatpak version for linux would be something. and for both to incorporate mentioned features switch and control listening sessions between devices… playlist custom photos? as far as i’m aware your playlist will only be a collage of the first 4 songs album art… kinda sucks just a general philosophy improvement around api use case that will encourage development… ive worked a little bit with the api myself. if google wanted to encourage youtube music support it could definitely go a long way in encouraging its user and those who are developers to actually create something of an eco system around it. where some of these points would flourish… like most things google the possibilities are endless and for once this is a paid for service.. right now especially the premium membership whether you love it or hate it. is a great deal. and focus on making youtube music a genuine competitor to (really only spotify) though it does fill some niche that soundcloud also provides while still not being *that niche* the barrier to entry is a lot less for artists. and it means you have access to smaller artists, djs, remixes, live shows, so much more! this service is basically perfect and it’s wrapped up with a disappointing and lacking app! fwiw it’s totally usable, but you will be making compromises here and there. even little things like discord rich presence is just not there unless again your using third parties… and this list goes on and for google if they just listened to customers and the forums… this wouldn’t even need to be said
Way better than Spotify or sound cloud by a ten fold margin, the fact you pay the same and get YouTube with no adds plus the music with no ads really ties it off for me really surprised with the quality and effort put into the music app considering YouTube on its own is such a huge application already
So laggy, slow and always crashes with apple car play if you have a lot of downloads. Unusable until fixed. Never had this problem with spotify.
Recommendation NOT based on my history but recommend what I hate, what I dont want!
It’s good
