Cant even create files without paying, so whats the point of the app?

The only feature I’d really like to see added is a paste icon button, probably in the top ribbon with the undo/redo icon buttons. Right now to paste I need to tap precisely where I want to paste… twice… in order to get the context ribbon to pop up with paste in it. This can be quite finicky to get right, and a button at the top would neatly solve that. Otherwise, this app is great and has many features. Would be nice to have better integration with git or the app Working Copy, but I have a workflow for that which isn’t too bad.

The app does its job, but after one file edit, you need to pay to edit again

Cannot view even a single file, asks to buy pro version.

Really need that to help make sense of things and to focus on what is necessary

Custom syntax highlighting support is invaluable in my work and this is the only app that offers it.

UPDATE: My mistake. It looks like the problem may be in iOS18 as other apps exhibit similar behavior. Top marks to the developer for his excellent support. The latest version has broken text navigation using an external keyboard. I am using an iPhone with voiceover enabled.

Update: Textastic is even better on the iPad I just installed it on. I’ve tried a few code editor apps, and I stuck with Textastic because it makes writing code on an iPhone significantly easier than all the rest. I still prefer multiple full sized screens with a keyboard and mouse, but I’ve had to use my phone for work lately, and Textastic makes that possible for me. Most of its limitations are due to the physical attributes of the device, or the constraints of iOS (thanks a lot Apple). I also really like the straightforward single up front purchase. The other app that makes software development on a phone possible for me is Secure Shellfish. With these two apps and a home Linux server, I can do almost everything I need to do for work, with the exception of needing a proper web browser to debug websites (thanks again Apple). Shellfish’s pricing is less straightforward, but I appreciate that it also has an option to pay only once.

They are only few Great Apps on the apple App Store that truly deliverer on the quality & capability of what is expected from a premium App Store app, This App is one of them. My hats off to the developers. Please continue to live up t the high standard i hold you at
