Great for making video games
I used to love this and recommend it to everyone, however interested in learning since the new ‘ keys’ feature replaces the hearts , it now locks you out on every mini piece of learning. This means that you cannot learn any good chunks, only tiny piece meal parts, 2 keys a day means two minor Learning points a day. You now cannot use this to learn anything substantial in a short time without paying for the app now; which you can get free elsewhere. This used to be a great way to learn, limited by mistakes (loosing hearts), this meant the leader board was also a possibility; again this is not really only for paying members. Such a shame! I plan to delete the app now and move on.
Mimo is actually really easy to understand! I am currently roughly halfway through the Python course and it is going swimmingly well. One pet peeve I have noticed is the penalisation of spelling errors or having a variable in the wrong place. For example, if it asked me to code ‘Print(“cat” + “ mouse”’ then it would penalise me for having them the wrong way around. I would suggest only losing lives to actual conceptual misunderstandings rather than simple grammatical/order of code errors.
It is absolutely amazing, but I wish you could actually code projects using swift because right now you can only learn it I think and not do any actual stuff writing your own swift code
I have a subscription, AND MY WIFI IS ON FULL BARS, AND ITS NOT CONNECTING BEEN HAPPENING FOR 3 MONTHS3
This is my first day and I know how to change text fonts and make buttons! I’d recommend this app!
So I used to have this app and it was rlly good but then I got a new phone and now that I’ve redownloaded it it just says that it has encountered an error and to try again later but it always says that.
You can only use credit on it then boom your done no other information
Ive been using Mimo for a bit and I enjoy learning programming from this app and is the best option yet. But there is 1 problem, the 5 hearts. When I encounter something that is hard to solve to me, I generally lose all my hearts and it really annoys me that i have to wait 2-3 hours for 1 heart just to lose it again. I would appreciate it if you removed the hearts entirely and let people learn without any pressure.
Honestly, I love this app. It breaks coding down into really simple steps and keeps things fun and engaging at the same time. The best and most convenient part for me is that I can use it on my phone, so even when I’m tired I can just scroll through and still feel like I’m learning something useful. It makes being productive feel effortless. Highly recommended!!
