Endel: Sono, Relaxar e Foco

i pay for a yearly subscription with this app and every time i open it, it says "why don't you buy a lifetime subscription?" this is no way to treat paying customers. my subscription is cancelled. my response to the developer reply: that’s cool. but maybe leave it is as the menu option that’s already there and remove the extremely annoying nag screen that pops up and blocks the user from using the app. or at least don’t show it to paying customers.

In my mental health recovery journey I noticed that by using sound I was able to ground myself much quicker than with many other tools. I started looking for an app that could help me and Endel delivered! From Solfeggio to Spatial Audio, binaural beats to meditation - every time I open the app I discover something new! Bring earphones and an open mind.

I'm a paying user, an annual subscriber, but nearly every few times that I open the app, I'm prompted to upgrade or shown promotions for lifetime plans. It's frustrating and feels unnecessary, especially since I'm already paying. These prompts are often the first thing I see, which slows me down from actually using the app for its intended purpose, focus. The core product is good, but the constant upselling hurts the experience and focus.

Do you happen to have any plans to add Binaural Beats in the future?

The new update is a really cool concept and the UI, as always from Endel, is amazing. I’m still testing it out but purely based on the concept alone I’m excited. Rarely do I feel impressed by the creative direction of an App especially but I’ve really fallen in love with it over the year or so that I’ve used it.

While the sounds have always been great, I’m disappointed with the changes to the macOS app. Taking away almost all the menu bar functionality and placing it all in an app window greatly increases friction. If I’ve closed the Endel window I need to Spotlight launch it again or manually search for it in the dock to reopen and change any settings. I don’t want to have an Endel app window open at all times. The menu bar dropdown was perfect - please bring back the option - even if it’s just to place the new app interface into a dropdown menu that can be accessed anytime.

I like the new layout of the laptop app and i have loved Endel overall for years however I do miss the menu bar drop down and the new app pauses after about 10 minutes and I have to press play again. Is this a bug or a part of freemiumum now?

I enjoy the Endel app for iOS, but both the Mac App and the AppleTV app are lacking in features. The Mac app hasn’t been shown any love in over a year, and doesn’t include many of the settings the iOS app does. The AppleTV app is even worse, as it doesn’t even have the basic sleep app. It just plays this one track, and you can’t really do anything with it. It’s also super slow and buggy. I think need to put some effort into these two apps, or stop advertising that you have access across apps, and just stick to mobile.
