Toast - Local Restaurants

Really? You have an app for local restaurants and you CAN’T LIST THE RESTAURANTS’ HOURS OF OPERATION? Isn’t that, like, IMPORTANT?!

There is no immediate assistance on orders! It took delivery on this app two hours to deliver pizza from a place that was six minutes away. There is no immediate way to cancel, change an order, or get support from a live rep. Tried to call the restaurant who said that there was no order on the toast app showing that they could cancel the order. What a waste of time and money!!!!

While the app is easy and quick to use, it doesn’t actually reward after so many purchases/visits. I’ve been stuck on 39 visits for the longest and today I was told I would finally get the reward but it didn’t actually happen. After today I’m no longer using Toast.

I really enjoy this app and it is the only way to get takeout for many local restaurants. But somehow someone in a different state keeps getting assaulted coated with my account. I see which restaurant they go to and what they order. I am concerned about them seeing or being able to use my payment methods although this hasn’t happened yet. I contacted Toast but they told me they don’t really have customer service for account holders as the restaurants are their real clients. So I deleted my account. A few months later, I created a new account but since it is associated with my phone number, I’m seeing that other person’s orders again.

I paid for one smoothie via a restaurants app using toast pay and I’ve already gotten at least 4 notifications, mostly from this app even though I didn’t even use it. Just one example of how much restaurant and food apps have gotten out of control with notifications. It’d maybe be a 4 or 5 star otherwise. But respect us please. I’ll just disable all notifications and be stoked when I show up to cancelled orders because I had to stop all the notification spam. Wish I had other choices, but there’s no notification control what so ever.

The driver dropped off the wrong order and I had to submit a ticket to an AI that hasn’t been resolved. Couldn’t talk to a human either.

For some reason the app always suggests a place that I went to once on vacation that is over 2000 miles away as my top "Pickup favorites" location. There's no way to say "stop showing this location". Mildly infuriating, makes me think that they are playing pay-to-play advertising games with recommendations. At least it's not DD/UE.

Never order delivery with this app they steal your money and never deliver your food and toast doesn’t care I was on hold for a hour waiting to speak with a manager about my order and no one every answered And When they send you the ETA of Tour Food and send the delivery driver contact info it Dnt be correct info and they keep your food

I signed up on the app on a Monday and the very next day I started receiving a TON of spam text to my cell phone. I haven’t signed up for anything else here recently. Literally a dozen plus spam text a day!

I like this app a lot bc it allows me to put in notes for the restaurants. However, today when I left some tips for the restaurant at checkout, it showed in the subtotal but after I hit pay, the tip was gone from the final receipt. I went to pick up and asked the restaurant if they received the tip but their receipt didn’t show it either. So, I have no idea where that money went but it certainly didn’t go to the restaurant. Sketchy af! If you want to tip your restaurant, DO NOT do it in the app. Leave it in cash when you pick up. As long as you don’t leave a tip, your amount is correct.
