all the info 👇🏻🇫🇷🚐⛰️ - van was rented from Goboony - used AllTrails & Park4Night apps for hikes & van spots - drones illegal in the Pyrenees (I got fined) - try to keep over 1/2 a tank of fuel & plenty of water incase you don’t see a petrol station for a while - check my IG highlight for detailed stories - day by day info below: ⛰️Day 1 - carpark was called Parking des Granges d’Astau (free). Hike on AllTrails app called “Lac D’Oô” ⛰️Day 2 - very scenic drive leave time for stop-offs. Carpark I stayed in didn’t have a name but drive to Gavarnie centre and follow signs for campervan parking (or look on Park4Night app) ⛰️Day 3 - hike was called “Cirque de Gavarnie” on AllTrails it’s a must-do! Campsite in Cauterets was “Camping La Peguéré“ and €13 per night without hook-up 🔋 did 2 nights here. ⛰️Day 4 - cable car to Pont d’Espagne & Lac de Gaube is €12 one way or €17 return. hiking routes also an option on AllTrails and well signposted. Spa was Les Bains du Rocher and was €22 for 2hrs (towels & flipflops are extra) ⛰️Day 5: parking at Lac de Bious Artigues was €5. Nice 3 mile walk around the lake there or search “Ayous Lakes Trail” if you want an epic 10 mile hike here. Parked in free layby at Lac de Fabregès which is nearby. ⛰️Day 6: the Artouste Train was €28 inc. cable cars and is next to Lac de Fabregès. Cafe at the top and small hike to a lake. Stayed in same van spot by the lake. ⛰️Day 7: drive to “Col de Soulor” mountain pass (insane views) and the hike on All Trails is called “Pointe de Surgatte” - well worth doing! but it’s high up so clouds will be hit & miss. Save this for future!
