FOX LOCAL: Live News & Weather

Updated Review: I’m still experiencing issues with notifications on the FOX LOCAL app for iPhone. After troubleshooting, notifications are now coming through, but they are significantly delayed and not all alerts are being delivered. I have all notification settings enabled, Do Not Disturb is off, and I’ve already tried restarting my device and checking system settings. Despite this, the app is inconsistent with sending timely and complete notifications, which is frustrating—especially for breaking news where timing matters. Please look into improving the reliability and speed of notifications. This is an important feature, and right now it’s not working as expected.

Attention to detail is lacking Can’t read the school closings Just comes up blank Headline says video shows….. And as typical to be first with nothing there is no video. The video is referenced and says see above but alas no video exists But they were probably first to say it But let’s not bother to proofread. Poorly written articles. Missing words in articles Guess it just falls under yellow journalism and not really in the public’s interest. Slanted to fit a narrative

Now when you go to read an article, the same information is repeated at least three times in the same article.

I don’t know what the heck is the matter with this app, but it stays on the load screen for over a minute and a half before you get to see any news. I’m doing it and going with a different station.

The stories are poorly written, often repeating the same information throughout. I hope the stories are AI generated because I find it hard to believe a human could do that bad of a job.

That 5 day or so trying to watch the news was an absolute disaster 😱😱. News comes on sometimes around 9:00 pm. Starts out with With ENGLISH for less than a minute and screen starts showing lots of dots and language become either gibberish or’ Spanish. Unable to understand and volume decreases. Another issue is the news being moved to later times than posted due to sports replacing it’s time slots anywhere to an hour or more later. Those who have to work must be changing to earlier or other stations, and although preferring FOX must do so to prepare for rest prior to the next day👎🏻! So, what is wrong with the them 😩?

This app is suddenly extremely glitchy and keeps locking up on both of my devices after I open it. Finally an option to see news on my home page from other cities besides my home station. Except now the app doesn’t save my preferences on the Content page when I navigate away from it and go back. And when it is saving, half the time the other cities section isn’t on the homepage when I open it. There’s still no option to personalize push notifications to get alerts from cities I follow besides my home station. (The new CBS News app got this right.) And the new widget doesn’t update automatically like the Fox News widget and is currently stuck and won’t update at all. This app and its features are still just as garbage as it was when it was first released. Worst excuse for a news app.
